The Raiders wasted little time against Williams Baptist JV on Tuesday.
Kolten Poorman hit a two-run triple before the Raiders committed an out and Three Rivers went on to win 7-0 in the opener and 18-0 in five innings in the nightcap at Poplar Bluff High School.
Lane Baremore soon followed with a two-run homer, scoring Poorman, to give the Raiders a 4-0 lead after the first inning.
Three Rivers (9-3) finished with nine hits while holding Williams Baptist to three. The Eagles also committed four errors as Three Rivers added two runs in the fourth and one in the fifth.
Andrew Lara scored on an error in the fourth and Poorman, who finished 2 for 3 with three RBIs, singled to score Alex Cauley. Lara then got an RBI single in the fifth to drive in Hunter Gray.
Carson Webb (1-0) pitched four innings in the win and allowed one hit with three strikeouts.
In the nightcap, Three Rivers then jumped out in front with 11 runs on five hits in the second inning.
Lane Crowden kicked things off by scoring on a double steal, and Christopher Vervoordt singled to score Steven Simmons from second. With the bases loaded, Cauley was hit by a pitch and Williams Baptist made a pitching change, only to walk in a run.
Up 4-0 and still with the bases loaded, Baremore connected for a two-run single.
Williams Baptist's second baseman then made back-to-back errors, each allowing a Raider to score. Kyle Clayton singled in Crowden, Simmons scored on a wild pitch, and Tucker Hughes got an RBI double before Williams Baptist could get out of the inning.
The Raiders piled on another seven runs in the fourth inning for 18 total on 11 hits while Williams Baptist earned one hit in the game.
Thirteen different Raiders scored a run, with Clayton going 2 for 3 with three runs and two RBIs. Baremore had three RBIs on two hits. Crowden, Vervoordt and Simmons all scored twice.
Caleb Moore (1-0) pitched two innings with four strikeouts, no hits and no walks in the win.
