BATESVILLE, Ark. — Three Rivers continued to restrict pitch counts Tuesday but still swept Lyon College JV.
The Raiders used four different pitchers in each game and won the opener 10-7 and the nightcap 8-3.
"We're going to have to throw a lot of guys out there, get whatever we can from them, and make changes when needed, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. We have the weapons to do it. Just trying to figure out how the puzzle fits together," Three Rivers coach Tyler Smith said. "We don't have those overpowering guys, so figuring out how to change our angles, change speeds, change spins, getting a little bit tricky with how we go about things is going to be our M.O."
Austin Brock (1-0) pitched the final two innings of the opener and got the win after Three Rivers scored eight of its 10 runs in the final three innings.
Alex Cauley had a two-run homer in the fifth inning, and Cade Cancilla doubled and scored on Hunter Gray's single.
The Raiders (11-4) added two runs in the sixth on solo homers by Kolten Poorman and Cauley. In the seventh, Bryan Montanez singled and stole second Three Rivers rolled things over to the top of the lineup with two outs.
Stephan Turino drew a walk, Andrew Lara got an RBI double, and Poorman cleared the bases with a three-run homer.
Poorman finished 4 for 5 with two runs and five RBIs. Cauley was 2 for 3 with two runs and three RBIs.
"Our lineup is really kind of figuring out who they are. They are making strides," Smith said.
Sean Pruneau (3-0) was the first pitcher out of the bullpen in the nightcap and faced 12 batters in the win with six strikeouts against four hits, a hit batter and no walks.
The Raiders scored three runs in the third and two in the fourth before adding three more in the seventh.
Turino had an RBI double to score Lane Crowden in the third and then scored on an error. Lara added the third run on Poorman's double.
Turino singled to score Steven Simmons in the fourth and scored on Lara's single.
Leading off in the seventh, Turino and Lara singled before Poorman walked to load the bases. Christopher Vervoordt got a two-run single, and Cauley singled to drive in Poorman.
Turino and Lara each had three hits. Poorman and Crowden both had two.
"When they changed arms, we were able to capitalize," Smith said. "We're trying to out chess people, and we did a pretty good job of that the other day."
