DYERSBURG, Tenn. — Calli Gerber hit a two-run double to double the lead for Three Rivers in the fourth inning Tuesday afternoon.

Molly Spangler stole home twice and Abbey Gann struck out nine in five innings as the Raiders won 7-5 at Dyersburg State.

Three Rivers (6-1) scored twice in the first inning as Spangler walked and Sydney Walker followed with a single. Spangler stole home for the first run and Walker later scored on a two-out double by Lauren Joyner.

Gerber, who had two hits, hit a one-out double in the fourth to score Zoe Bisby, who hit a leadoff single, and Mary Yandell, who walked.

Yandell had a two-out RBI single in the fifth to give Three Rivers a 6-0 lead.

Blair Quarles led off the sixth with a triple and scored on an RBI groundout by Jenny Morey.

Gann allowed just one hit and hit a batter through the first four innings, striking out six of seven at one point. Dyersburg State put together a two-out rally in the fifth with a pair of singles, a double and a three-run homer to cut the margin to 6-4.

An error led to a run in the sixth to set the final score as Saje Kurpiela and Kindi Puckett each pitched an inning in relief for the Raiders.

The second game of the doubleheader was cancelled.

The Raiders travel to Tyler, Texas for games Friday and Saturday and are scheduled to host Missouri Baptist JV starting at 2 p.m. Monday.
