NEOSHO – The Three Rivers softball team struggled on the road Saturday as they dropped a doubleheader to Crowder 7-3 in the opener and 10-4 in the night cap. The Raiders have won only twice in their last six games.

The Raiders held a 3-0 after two and a half innings scoring twice in the first and once more in the third. However Crowder got on the board with one run in the third and two more in the fourth before scoring four runs in the sixth to put the game away.

The Raiders were held to only two hits in the second game as they were able to scratch one run in the second and three runs in the fourth to go up 4-1. Crowder then scored twice in the fifth and seven runs in the sixth to put it on ice and secure the sweep for the day.

Three Rivers falls to 8-6 against Region XVI opponents, but still maintain a winning overall record of 28-10. The Raiders are now in fourth in the Region XVI standings behind Jefferson, Crowder and St. Louis.
