Lady Raiders defeat Wabash Valley to open 2026

Samiyah Jordan scored 13, Ytaly Lewis chipped in 11 off the bench, and Kiera Neal scored 10 to lead Three Rivers College past Wabash Valley College 61-43.

The game occurred in Mt. Carmel, Illinois, on Saturday afternoon. The win improved the Lady Raiders to 15-2 on the season as they enter conference play.

This game served as the first contest of 2026 for the Lady Raiders, who were participating in their first game since Dec. 14.

The shooting statistics for both teams were mediocre, but the Lady Raiders got enough defensive stops to wear down WVC and secure the win.

The Lady Raiders shot 31 percent from the field, seven percent from three, and 70 percent from the free-throw line. WVC shot 26 percent from the field, 14 percent from three, and 50 percent from the free throw line.

Lady Raiders forward Amelia Corasaniti scored eight points, grabbed 12 rebounds, dished out three assists, and accumulated four steals.

Standouts from WVC include Aijia Elliott, Kassie McMasters, and Keeley Harris. Elliott scored a game-high 16 points while grabbing 12 rebounds, McMasters scored 11, and Harris snagged 13 rebounds.

The Lady Raiders have now won four straight games as they return home to Poplar Bluff on Jan. 7, where they will face Moberly Area Community College.

Tipoff is set at 5 p.m.
