The Three Rivers softball team ended up splitting a doubleheader Sunday with Jefferson College.
The Raiders took the opener 8-0 on a gem by Makale Floyd in the circle, but couldn't match the Viking offense in the nightcap as they fell 19-8.
In the opener at JD Rains Field, Floyd tossed a two-hit complete-game shutout as she recorded 12 strikeouts and didn't surrender a single walk.
Offensively, Karlye Happold went 4 for 4 at the plate with a pair of RBI and a home run while Jessica Husley also had a two-RBI game.
There was more offense in the second game as the Raiders kept it close, trailing 9-7 going into the sixth, but the Vikings scored five runs in the sixth and seventh to run away with the win.
There were five long balls between the teams in the second game with Kyla Puckett hitting two and Abby Wilson clearing the fence for the Raiders. Puckett also drove in four RBI while going 3 for 3.
With the Raiders 25-5 overall and 5-1 in Region XVI play, they've dropped a spot in the national rankings to 16th from the previous week.
A trip to St. Charles scheduled for Monday has been postponed with St. Louis scheduled to visit Tuesday before a trip Thursday to Jefferson.
