MILLINGTON, TN – The Three Rivers baseball team went down to USA Stadium for four games over the weekend and only came away with one win that came via the walk-off in the final game on Sunday.
The Raiders first faced Parkland where they were handed a 4-2 setback. Three Rivers was able to tie it up at two in the fifth inning, but Parkland was able to get two runs off of reliever Austin Gast, who was saddled with the loss.
Three Rivers ended Saturday on a sour note as they were no-hit by Lincoln Trail in a 2-0 loss. The Raiders' pitching allowed only two hits for the game, but reliever Zach Haygood allowed two earned runs in the fifth and sixth innings and was handed the loss.
The Raiders started Sunday getting shutout 5-0 to Lewis and Clark as starter Daniel Vogt was the losing pitcher as he gave up five runs, four earned, on five hits while striking out six in 3.2 innings.
The final game on Sunday proved to be a good one for Three Rivers as they walked it off in extras in the ninth. The game was tied at seven going into the seventh and in the bottom of the night, Jordan Eaton hit a sac-fly to the right fielder to win the ballgame for the Raiders.
The 7-8 Raiders will be home Thursday as they'll host a doubleheader against Williams Baptist JV at 12 p.m.
