The Three Rivers baseball team swept Friday's doubleheader against Marshalltown at Roger Patillo Field. The Raider pitching shined in the first game with a 7-0 shutout and Three Rivers was able to hold on for a 10-7 win in game two. The Raiders have won five straight games.
Noah Burkey picked up the win in game one with a complete game two-hit shutout while picking up 10 strikeouts in his outing. Offensivley, Hunter Gray, Kole Turner, Logan McIntyre and Charlie Parker all had RBIs in the game. In the second game, Marshalltown was able to rally in the seventh to put three runs on the board, but Jorden Eaton was able to shut the door in order to secure the Raiders' fifth straight victory.
Southpaw Michael White picked up the win as the starter as he gave up three runs, two earned, on five hits while striking out five. Nolan Self had a twoRBI game in the form of a two-run homer in the second inning while Gray, Turner and Parker also had RBIs in game two. Three Rivers will host two more games against Marshalltown starting at noon Saturday.
