NEOSHO, Mo. — It was a day of good news and bad Friday for the Three Rivers College baseball team. 

The Raiders took on host Crowder in a doubleheader, with Three Rivers taking the opener 11-3 and the host Roughriders winning 15-0. 

In the opener, the Raiders scored five runs in the top of the second inning and never looked back. Three Rivers added single runs in each of the next two innings, then scored two runs apiece in top of the sixth and top of the seventh.

Crowder scored all three of its runs in the bottom of the seventh inning. 

Gavin Jansen had three hits to lead the offense, while Trent Buchanan and Charlie Parker each had a pair. Jansen, Parker, Eli Marvin, Peyton Nelson and Logan McIntyre each drove in two runs. 

Meanwhile, Lukas Touma was dominant on the mound to earn the win, allowing no runs, two hits and three walks while striking out 11 in 5 2/3 innings of work. 

It was a different story in the nightcap. 

The Roughriders scored in every inning — and more than that, scored at least four runs in all but the bottom of the third as they needed just 4 1/2 innings to beat TRC and salvage a split. 

Nelson had two of Three Rivers' hits in the second game. 

Games 3 and 4 of the series were postponed due to weather and will be rescheduled for a later date.
