Three Rivers dominated a doubleheader with Metropolitan Saturday, taking the opener 16-0 and the nightcap 11-0 to complete a four-game sweep of the visiting Wolves.
In the opener Saturday, TRC hit six home runs — two by Grobe and one each by Rahlmann, Happold, Kyla Puckett and winning pitcher Agers — and also scored five runs in the bottom of the first inning and eight more in the bottom of the second as the Lady Raiders dominated from the start.
Grobe, Rahlmann and Agers each had three hits, while Happold and Puckett added a pair. Agers drove in four runs, while Happold and Grobe drove in three apiece and the trio of Puckett, Rahlmann and Jessica Hulsey each drove in two.
Meanwhile, Agers and McKenna Mooe combined on a two-hit shutout.
In Saturday's nightcap, it was a similar story, as TRC scored seven runs in the bottom of the second inning to break open a close game.
Agers had a pair of solo homers, while Grobe added a pair of hits. Agers, Grobe and Simpson each drove in a pair of runs.
Elly Eckrich tossed four innings of shutout ball for the win, allowing just three hits and a walk while striking out eight. Moore tossed a 1-2-3 fifth inning to finish the game.
