THREE RIVERS 56, BATON ROUGE 35

Ge'Naisha Robinson had 18 points and 10 different Lady Raiders scored as they polished off their Memphis road trip with a comfortable win over Baton Rouge (La.) on Friday. "We played everybody," Three Rivers coach Jeff Walk said. "Just continuing that effort and the kids are doing a great job." Three Rivers (13-2) won each of the first three quarters by at least seven points and went into the final frame with a 24 point lead.

The Lady Raiders scored the first 11 points and never looked back. They got a couple steals early, added a couple 3s, and the defense held Baton Rouge to 10 points in the first half. "Defensively, I thought our first half defense was really good. We threw a lot of different things at them. I didn't realize we held them to 10 points. That's pretty good," Walk said. Against Baton Rouge's short bench, Walk tried to make the early game as uptempo as possible. He also mixed in a few different defenses along the way. The Lady Raiders have now won 11 in a row going back to Nov. 12. They will play their first home game since Dec. 6 on Monday against Arkansas State MidSouth at 2 p.m. at the Bess Activity Center.
