Lady Raiders run record to 10-0 with win at Dyersburg St.

DYERSBURG, Tenn. — The Three Rivers women's basketball team continued its perfect start to the season with an 81-45 win at Dyersburg State on Tuesday night.

Most notably on the stat sheet for Three Rivers was Jenna McMillen recording a team-leading 21 points from the bench. Starters Ari Winston and Joi Montgomery were also in double figures with 12 and 10 points respectively.

As a team, the Raiders out-rebounded Dyersburg 48-26.

"I thought we did a good job getting the boards," Three Rivers head coach Alex Wiggs said. "Joi was big on getting the boards with five, Ari had six and Ahniya Melton and Kourtney Kendrick had seven. The great thing about this team is that when someone is having an off-night, somebody else has been able to step up."

The Raiders took control from the start and never gave up the lead to the Eagles (3-3) as Three Rivers was ahead 22-10 after the first 10 minutes and had a comfortable 43-21 lead at halftime.

After play resumed, the Raiders had a 61-38 advantage going into the fourth and they held Dyersburg State to only seven points in the final 10 minutes on the way to the win.

The Raiders will have the rest of the week off before traveling to Indiana to take on Vincennes. Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday.

"We had 11 games scheduled in the month of November," Wiggs said. "That's almost a third of our season and we've been able to take care of business early on to be 10-0 at this point of the season."
