WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. — The Three Rivers Lady Raiders basketball team wrapped up its pre-Christmas portion of the schedule by rolling past Williams Baptist's junior varsity squad 109-34 Thursday.
The Lady Raiders dominated from the start, opening up a 30-7 lead by the end of the opening period, then pushing that lead to 54-19 by halftime. Three Rivers led 78-30 by the start of the fourth quarter.
Three Rivers (11-1) held the Lady Eagles to just 31% field goal shooting (15-for-48) for the game, including just 2-for-17 behind the 3-point line. The Lady Raiders also outrebounded Williams Baptist 66-26.
Eight Lay Raiders scored in double figures, led by 16 points from Marihya Hart. Maiya Bergdorf added 14 points, while Amiya Johnson and Ari Winston each had 12 and the quartet of Da'Kariya Jackson, Mariah Smith, Makenzi Davis and Niaisya Ervin each finished with 10. Davis also had a team-high eight rebounds.
Three Rivers is off until Dec. 28, when it tips off play at a tournament in Memphis, Tenn.
